Print is Powerful
Donors are three times more likely to give from direct mail and newsletters than other marketing mediums. But that doesn't mean print need not modernize. By injecting moving storytelling and dynamic design and photography into your publications, you deepen your relationship with your audience and inspire them to share and invest in your message.
Rebranding Rescuing Liberty into Sword&Scales
Pacific Legal Foundation wanted to elevate it's brand as a national organization. One of the first steps of doing that was transforming how it communicated with its existing followers and donors.
I worked with PLF to transform their donor newsletter
From This...

To This...

I rebranded and transformed Rescuing Liberty into the story-first, visual-driven magazine Sword&Scales. The magazine became Pacific Legal Foundation's flagship publication and over the course of three years earned thousands of new subscribers. Donation revenue from the publication tripled and PLF quickly began receiving requests from subscribers for extra copies to give family, friends, and customers of their own.
By transforming their standard, but reliable, newsletter into a bold, visual, and story-driven magazine, PLF strengthened their relationships with existing subscribers and donors, expanded their reach to new subscribers and donors, and increased their return on their publication investment.
